Rex Passau is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Manager at Oji Fibre Solutions since June 2017, where responsibilities include leading a multi-discipline team of over sixty engineers in major projects at the Kinleith paper mill. Prior to this role, Rex held various positions at Shell Todd Oil Services from October 2005 to May 2017, including Head of Engineering and Assurance, where oversight of engineering services was provided to multiple teams and ventures. Earlier experience includes managing process engineering at The New Zealand Refining Company Ltd and roles in health, safety, and environmental management at Refining NZ. Rex began their career at New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Ltd, focusing on development and process control engineering. Rex holds a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Auckland and a Graduate Diploma of Business from Deakin University.
