Emaly Vatne has a diverse range of work experience. In 2023, they worked as a Data Analytics Intern at Orlando City SC. Prior to that, from 2018 onwards, they held multiple positions at The Ohio State University. These roles included being a Graduate Research Assistant with the Human Performance Collaborative, a Research Assistant with the MOvES Lab, and a member of the Ohio State Varsity Women's Soccer team. In 2019, Emaly worked as a Soccer Coach at Ohio Premier Soccer Club and Upper Arlington HS. Emaly also served as a WiST Fellow at Women in Sports Tech, Inc. in 2022. Additionally, Emaly had an internship as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at The Ohio State University Department of Athletics in 2021. Lastly, in the same year, they worked as a Neuromuscular Physical Therapy Research Assistant at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Emaly Vatne received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, with a minor in Human Nutrition, from The Ohio State University in 2021. Emaly then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Health and Exercise Science, at the same institution from 2021 to 2023.
In terms of certifications, Emaly Vatne obtained the Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) certification from the American College of Sports Medicine in May 2021. Emaly also holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), obtained in April 2022. In addition, they completed the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with Administering Emergency Oxygen and First Aid certification through the American Red Cross in June 2021. Finally, they completed the Effective Clinical Research Management, Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research Course 1, and Human Subjects Protection - Biomedical certifications from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY, in January 2021.
