Dr. Rupert L. Mayer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as the Director AIT&V Süd at OHB SE since October 2011, overseeing AIT and Verification management, including cleanroom facilities planning and efficiency improvements for space projects. Previously, Dr. Mayer held the position of Director AIT & Logistics at OHB SE, focusing on organizational leadership and process definition across multiple sites, and served as the Head of Department AIT Munich, where responsibilities included recruitment and infrastructure development. Prior to joining OHB SE, Dr. Mayer worked at Airbus as Satellite AIV Manager, managing AIV processes for Galileo satellites, and held the role of Space Antenna Engineer, specializing in antenna design and testing. Dr. Mayer holds a Doktor der Philosophie in Wirtschaftsethik, a Master of Arts in Philosophie, Politik, Wirtschaft, and two Diplom-Ingenieur degrees in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen and Technische Physik from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, respectively.
