Philip Wiese has accumulated a diverse range of work experiences in the field of plant biology and research. Philip started their career as a Greenhouse Student Assistant at the UC Davis Department of Plant Biology in 2011. From there, they joined Harris Moran Seed Company as a Greenhouse Research Aide in 2012. In 2014, Philip became an Assistant Research Scientist in nematology at Marrone Bio Innovations, where they contributed to the lab's functions and provided support to the entomology team. Philip later advanced to the role of Associate Research Scientist, specializing in nematology/invertebrate pest biology. In 2016, Philip joined Driscoll's as a Research Associate in plant pathology, focusing on Rubus pathology. Their responsibilities included disease diagnostics, assay development and implementation, and running disease resistance screens. Currently, Philip is a Research Associate at Ohalo Genetics, where they continue to contribute their expertise to ongoing research projects.
Philip Wiese began their education at Solano Community College in 2007, where they obtained an Associate's degree in General Science in 2010.
