Ryan Nissen began their work experience as a Part-time Production Assistant at KHGI-TV in May 1996. Ryan then moved on to KMTV-Scripps Media Omaha in May 1997, where they worked as a News Production Manager for over 20 years until April 2018. Currently, they are working as a Marketing Director at the 55th Force Support Squadron, starting in April 2018.

Ryan Nissen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, graduating in 1997. Ryan has also obtained the certification of a Certified ANA Marketing Professional from the Association of National Advertisers in 2023.
