Eric Veith has extensive work experience in the field of research and academia. Eric is currently the Junior Research Group Lead at Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg since December 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at OFFIS - Institut für Informatik, including Scientific Director, Member of the Division Board for R&D Division Energy, R&D Group Manager for Power Systems Intelligence, and Senior Researcher. Eric has been working at OFFIS since 2017 and is still employed there. In addition, Eric Veith has experience as a Project Lead for ECM Adoption and as a Lecturer & Author at Wilhelm Büchner Hochschule Private Fernhochschule Darmstadt. At the university, they taught various courses and authored study booklets on distributed information processing, computer networking, and computer security. Their tenure at Wilhelm Büchner Hochschule lasted from 2011 to 2015.
Eric Veith holds a diverse educational background. Starting from 2005 to 2010, they attended FH Worms, where they pursued a degree in Telekommunikation and obtained a diploma as a Diplom-Informatiker (FH). Subsequently, from 2011 to 2017, they attended TU Bergakademie Freiberg, where they focused on Smart Grid and earned a degree as a Dr.-Ing. Apart from their formal education, Eric Veith also participated in the Summer Academy Young Titans in 2017, where they obtained a certification known as the Young Titans Day 2017.
