Efosa Akenzua is an Attorney at Colorado State Public Defender since May 2023. Previously, Efosa served as an E. Barrett Prettyman Fellow at Georgetown Law's Juvenile Justice Clinic from August 2020 to June 2023, where responsibilities included trial preparation and legal research. Earlier experience includes working as a Law Clerk at the Office of the Federal Public Defender in the Central District of California and participating in the Criminal Law Internship Program at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Efosa also interned at the American Humanist Association in communications. Education includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Chicago.
