Mark Mahon is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in climate action, environmental management, and infrastructure development. Currently serving as the Section Head for Climate Action, Environment, and Rural Water at Offaly County Council, Mark leads the implementation of an ambitious Climate Action Plan and manages various strategic projects aimed at enhancing economic and social development in the region. Mark's previous roles include District Engineer for Edenderry Municipal District and Senior Executive Engineer, where effective collaboration with elected representatives and stakeholders was paramount. With a solid foundation in project management and geotechnical engineering gained from positions at GMC Sierra, Siac Construction Ltd, and other prominent firms, Mark holds multiple degrees, including an MBA from Dublin City University and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
