Alison Jessopp has extensive work experience in the economics, analytics, and finance fields. Alison started their career at BT in 1994 as a Marketing Analyst, where they focused on business planning forecasting and price modeling. Alison then took on the role of Global Marketing Analyst before becoming a Senior Analyst in Marketing & Strategy. In this role, they were responsible for operational management of the SME business plan, modeling strategic scenarios, and competitor analysis. Alison later transitioned to a Regulation Manager position, where they conducted financial modeling of retail and network price controls, as well as forecasting. Alison also served as a Senior Finance Manager, reporting market information to Ofcom and ONS and managing regulatory asset valuation and cost modeling methodologies. Alison joined Ofcom in 2011 as a Senior Financial Analyst and was promoted to the role of Principal Economics & Analytics in June 2015. We do not have specific end dates for their roles at Ofcom.
Alison Jessopp completed their Bachelor's degree in Maths from the University of Oxford from 1989 to 1992. In 1993 to 1994, they pursued a Master's degree in Operational Research from Lancaster University. Alison later obtained a professional qualification in Accounting & Finance from ACCA in 2000. Currently, they are enrolled in the University of Southampton to pursue a Master's degree in Data Analytics for Government, expected to graduate in 2023.
