Lilas Demmou is an accomplished economist with extensive experience at the OECD-OCDE since 2010, where roles have included Head of South Africa Desk, Deputy Head of Division for the Structural Policy Analysis Division, and Senior Economist in various desks such as Belgium and Lithuania. Previous roles at the Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances involved focus on industrial policy, research, and innovation. Earlier in the career, positions included Junior Research Analyst at CEPREMAP and post-doctoral researcher at The London School of Economics. Lilas Demmou holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cepremap and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University Paris VIII.
