Douglas Sutherland is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in international economics and research. Since 1998, Douglas has served as the Head of Division in the Economics Department at the OECD, where Douglas also held the position of Senior Economist. Prior to this role, Douglas worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham from 1996 to 1998 and as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton from 1993 to 1996. Douglas holds a PhD in Russian Studies with a focus on Economics from the University of Birmingham, attained between 1995 and 1998.
