Celina Sousa Pereira is an Executive Officer and Wellbeing and Liberation Officer at the University of Manchester Students' Union, where responsibilities include advocating for 47,000 students in wellbeing, safety, liberation, and EDI. Key achievements involve representing students on over 30 committees, proposing policies for affordable housing and inclusivity, and sitting on the Union’s Trustee Board to ensure responsible governance. Prior experiences include drafting content as a Marketing and Communications Assistant and participating in a Virtual Vacation Scheme at the University of Manchester Law School focused on legal advice, as well as shadowing the Mayor of Greater Manchester to gain insights into political advocacy. Celina holds a Bachelor of Laws - LLB in Law with Politics from the University of Manchester and completed an online course in Social Norms and Social Change at the University of Pennsylvania.
