Melissa Anders, BSN, RN has a diverse work experience, with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and clinical research industry. Melissa is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Operations at Odyssey Therapeutics since January 2024. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Management and Clinical Trials Consultant at Anders Clinical Development Solutions since January 2022.
Melissa has extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and overseeing clinical development studies. From May 2022 to June 2023, they worked as the Sr. Clinical Operations Lead at Surface Oncology Inc., where they provided oversight of CROs and vendors for early phase immuno-oncology studies.
Before joining Surface Oncology Inc., Melissa worked at Syneos Health as the Senior Director of Global Project Management and Clinical Trials Management, Oncology and Hematology from March 2018 to May 2022. Melissa also served as the Director of Global Project Management, Oncology/Hematology from February 2016 to March 2018.
Earlier in their career, Melissa gained experience as a Client Manager, Program Manager, and Project Manager at ProTrials Research from March 2004 to February 2016. Melissa also worked at Inveresk Research as an Associate Project Manager and Lead Clinical Research Associate from May 2000 to March 2004.
Melissa began their career as a Registered Nurse III in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center, where they worked from July 1996 to June 2001.
Throughout their career, Melissa has demonstrated expertise in clinical operations leadership, project management, vendor oversight, strategic planning, and process improvement. Melissa has played integral roles in the successful management of clinical trials and the development of operational processes and efficiencies.
Melissa Anders, BSN, RN completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Watkins Mill High School from 1988 to 1992, with a focus on general studies and science.
