Dan Horne is an experienced medicinal chemist currently serving as the Executive Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Odyssey Therapeutics since October 2024. Prior to this role, Dan held the position of Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Skyhawk Therapeutics from December 2019 to October 2024 and previously worked in medicinal chemistry at Sage Therapeutics from May 2018 to December 2019. Dan's career began at Amgen, where a significant tenure as Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry lasted from March 2006 to May 2018. Educationally, Dan completed a Postdoctoral Research fellowship in Organic Chemistry, specializing in Natural Product Synthesis at Scripps Research, and earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry with a focus on Transition Metal Catalysis and Natural Product Synthesis from Stanford University. Dan's foundational education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from UC Irvine.
