Youcef Kacer has a diverse range of work experience in machine learning and computer vision. Youcef is currently employed as the Machine Learning Lead at Odigo since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at BNP Paribas Cardif from 2017, where they served as the Machine Learning & Computer Vision Lead. In this role, they were responsible for developing a cloud-hosted Rest API for document information extraction and leading a team of data scientists. Before that, they worked at Smiths Detection from 2012 to 2017 as a Machine Learning & Computer Vision Engineer, specializing in threat detection in X-ray images. Youcef also has experience at Thales, where they worked as a Machine Learning & Computer Vision Engineer from 2011 to 2012, developing functions for vehicle analysis and control flow at frontiers. Additionally, they worked at Thales as a Signal Processing Engineer from 2009 to 2010, developing ground pulse radar functions. Youcef also has previous experience as an Engineer Intern at Dassault Aviation and as a Waiter at Le Pain Quotidien UK.

Youcef Kacer holds a Certificate in Data Science and Big Data from Télécom Paris, which they obtained from 2016 to 2017. Youcef also completed an Online Certificate in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from OpenClassrooms in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Telecom Bretagne from 2005 to 2008. Youcef completed their Preparatory Classes in PCSI/PC* at Lycée Fénelon from 2002 to 2005. Youcef Kacer's educational journey began with a Scientific Baccalauréat with honors in Mathematics from Lycée Hélène Boucher, which they achieved from 1999 to 2002.
