As Corporate Legal and Compliance Counsel, James Maldonado provides legal and compliance leadership and oversees OCHIN’s Legal Compliance, Human Resources, and Procurement teams. James works with and implements processes and protocols around data privacy and compliance with state and federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, HITECH Act, etc.), and provides analysis and advice on all legal and compliance matters for OCHIN and the OCHIN Board. He has over 15 years experience working in the legal group and operations group of multiple global billion-dollar companies. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at Portland State University and his Juris Doctorate at Willamette University College of Law.
