Philip Jones has extensive experience in geology and exploration, currently serving as Technical Services Manager and previously as Exploration and Geology Manager at OceanaGold Corporation since March 2023. From March 2010 to the present, Philip held multiple roles including Geology and Exploration Manager, focusing on management of scoping, optimisation, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies for various projects. Prior to OceanaGold, Philip worked as a contractor from May 2008 to December 2009, managing underground sampling and exploration programs. Philip's career began at International Groundwater Technologies from January 2007 to April 2008, where responsibilities included project review and groundwater management across various international locations. Philip holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Geology from the University of Otago, obtained in 2006.
