Miguel Bigotte Vieira is a dedicated nephrologist currently serving at Unidade Local de Saúde São José since September 2019 and as a member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Journals’ Editorial Board since February 2024. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Miguel has held various teaching and committee roles, including being an Invited Teaching Assistant at NOVA Medical School, a member of the Health Technology Assessment Committee at INFARMED, and a lecturer in nephrology for Exame da Especialidade. With a strong background in medical education, Miguel has instructed courses in medical writing and advanced cardiovascular life support since 2015. A former nephrology fellow at Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte, Miguel has also participated in prestigious programs, such as the New England Journal of Medicine Trainee Course and the Kidney360 Editorial Training Program. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Medicine from the University of Lisbon and advanced training in health management and quantitative data analysis from notable institutions, enhancing expertise in both clinical and management aspects of healthcare.
