Kathy Contreras is a seasoned professional in the insurance and reinsurance industry, currently serving as Life Senior Underwriting at Ocean International Reinsurance Company Limited since November 2018. With previous experience as Ejecutiva Técnica Ramos de Personas at Optima Compañía de Seguros from June 2012 to October 2018 and as Asistente de Ramos Personales at HSBC Seguros from January 2009 to June 2012, Kathy has developed a strong foundation in underwriting and risk assessment. Kathy's academic background includes a Master's degree in Project Formulation, Evaluation, and Management from Universidad del Istmo, a Postgraduate degree in Senior Management from the same institution, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from Universidad de Panamá. In addition to these qualifications, Kathy has completed specialized programs such as a Diploma in Life and Health Risk Assessment from Escuela de Seguros de Chile, a Diploma in Reinsurance Management from Universidad Latina de Panamá, and is currently pursuing an Actuarial course for non-actuaries at Instituto Nacional de Seguros - Fasecolda.
