Madeline Black is an experienced communications professional with a background in strategic communication and public relations. Currently serving as Senior Communications Manager at Ocean Conservancy since May 2017, Madeline oversees the communications strategy for the International Coastal Cleanup®, collaborates on media campaigns, and manages public relations efforts. Previous roles at Ocean Conservancy include Communications Manager, Communications Coordinator, and Communications Assistant, where Madeline developed communication strategies, drafted press releases, and earned significant media coverage. Additional experience includes positions at Georgetown Cupcake, British Council, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Women's Political Caucus, Public Citizen, Liberal Democrats, Township of Montclair, and Meryl Diamond Ltd. Madeline holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from American University and has participated in study abroad programs in Rome and London.
