Joel Baziuk serves as the Associate Director of the Global Ghost Gear Initiative at Ocean Conservancy, focusing on sustainable solutions for lost and abandoned fishing gear. Since founding JRBBL Consulting in January 2019, Joel has addressed ocean and marine plastic issues. Previously, Joel managed global campaigns at World Animal Protection, emphasizing stakeholder engagement for the GGGI. Joel also operated Elysium Photography, specializing in landscape and aerial photography, and served as Operations Supervisor at Steveston Harbour Authority, building relationships with various agencies. Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of British Columbia.
