Jaclyn McGarry is a skilled program manager with extensive experience in environmental management and communications within the marine sector. Currently serving as the Program Manager for the Global Ghost Gear Initiative at Ocean Conservancy since October 2019, Jaclyn coordinates stakeholder engagement, supports grant writing, and assists in the development of key reports and external documents. Prior to this role, Jaclyn held the position of Capitol Hill Ocean Week Manager at the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, where responsibilities included planning conferences and community outreach events. Jaclyn's earlier experience includes various communication and outreach roles at organizations such as Ocean Conservancy, SeaWeb, and the US Forest Service, covering digital strategy, content creation, and stakeholder engagement. Jaclyn holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Film and Media Arts from American University.
