Caroline Bonfield is a skilled policy professional with a focus on environmental and wildlife issues. Currently serving as the U.S. Policy Manager for Shipping Emissions at Ocean Conservancy since January 2023, Caroline has previously worked as a Shipping Emissions Analyst. Experience includes internships at WildEarth Guardians as a Wildlife Communication and Advocacy Intern, and at the Humane Society Legislative Fund as a Federal Policy Fellow, where legislative documents and advocacy materials were prepared. Other roles include Government Relations Intern at WSW Winning Strategies Washington, Global Warming Solutions Intern at Environment America, and Wildlife Policy Intern at The Humane Society of the United States. Early experience includes serving as a Visiting Avian Nursery Intern at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota and a Swim Instructor for the Princeton Piranhas Swim Team. Caroline holds a Master of Science in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Georgetown University.
