Michael Stanton is a marketing executive with over two decades of experience in the industry. Michael currently serves as a board member for the Ocean City School District. Prior to their current role, Stanton held various marketing positions at Bacardi, most recently serving as the Director of Marketing Performance, Global Strategic Insights, and Analytics.
In their role at Bacardi, Stanton was responsible for driving higher marketing ROI through best-practice identification and implementation across marketing activations and resource allocation optimization. On a macro-level, they led Bacardi’s Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) initiatives across top 15 Brand-Market Combinations, delivering $5 in NSV for every $1 investment in MMM with a net ROI of 167% through Media Optimization. On a micro-level, Stanton drove the global development of SONAR, Bacardi’s internally developed Marketing Planning and Evaluation platform. The tool was used to identify best practices across various marketing activities and implement these learnings to systematically implement more effective activities and improve marketing ROI. Within their role, Stanton also led Bacardi’s Global Marketing measurement framework and KPI Bank that was used to drive consistency throughout the company's marketing measurement approach, and led Bacardi's team of M&E (Measurement and Evaluation) Evangelists to drive change and build a stronger performance culture.
Stanton has also partnered with IWSR and Nielsen to track and report on consumer sales trends within the
