Marshall Pickarts is a Water Technology Engineer at Oxy, specializing in advancing technologies and optimizing operations related to water issues in various regions, including the Permian and Delaware basins and the Gulf of Mexico. Previously, Marshall was a PhD student at the Colorado School of Mines, focusing on flow assurance issues for the oil and gas industry, particularly gas hydrate formation and mitigation. Additional experience includes a flow assurance internship at ExxonMobil, where Marshall led a team to develop a MATLAB-based hydrate model, and research roles at The Ohio State University involving carbon capture and chemical looping processes. Marshall holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a BS in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
