Sarah Pickle is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in library operations and academic leadership. Currently serving as the College Librarian and Director of the Academic Commons at Occidental College, Sarah previously held various strategic roles at The Claremont Colleges Services, including Associate Dean for Operations & Strategy, where leadership of user research projects and service enhancements was key. Prior to that, Sarah contributed to Penn State University's research data management initiatives as a Social Science Postdoctoral Fellow and developed library software alongside IT and faculty. Sarah's earlier roles at Ithaka S+R involved analyzing data for cultural heritage organizations and leading communications with industry leaders. With a PhD in Comparative Literature from Cornell University, Sarah has a strong academic background complementing a rich history of practical applications in library sciences and strategic planning.
