Julie Southern is a British business executive who currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Ocado Group. Julie has previously held senior positions at easyJet, DFS Group Limited, Cineworld, Stagecoach, Rentokil Initial, NXP Semiconductors, and Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Southern began their career in 1988 as Finance Director at H J Chapman Ltd, before moving to WHSmith in the same role in September of that year. Julie remained with WHSmith for seven years before being appointed as Group Finance Director at Porsche Cars GB Ltd in 1996.

In 2000, Southern was recruited by Virgin Atlantic Airways as their Chief Commercial Officer, a role they held for 13 years. During their time with Virgin Atlantic, Southern was responsible for sales, revenue management and pricing, fleet and network planning, marketing, human resources, commercial strategy, legal affairs, and sustainability.

In 2013, Southern left Virgin Atlantic to join easyJet as an Executive Director on their board. Julie served in this role until 2015, when they became a Non-Executive Director at DFS Group Limited. Julie has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Cineworld and Stagecoach.

Julie Southern studied economics at the University of Cambridge and West Kirby Grammar School.
