Mariam Nikuradze is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism and media management. As the Co-founder and Executive Director of Open Caucasus Media since November 2016, Mariam has played a pivotal role in promoting independent journalism in the region. Concurrently, Mariam serves as a reporter for Chai-Khana, contributing short video films and reports since December 2014. Prior experience includes a stint as a journalist at DFWatch, where Mariam was involved in reporting, photography, and social media management from September 2011 to December 2016. Mariam's journalism foundation was laid through an educational traineeship with AIESEC and an investigative journalism project focusing on labor protection in Georgia. Academically, Mariam holds a Master’s Degree in Media Engineering from Saqartvelos Sazogadoebriv Sakmeta Instituti, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Political Sciences with a focus on Journalism from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
