Steve Sterling has extensive experience in environmental management and asset retirement within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Asset Retirement, Environment & Regulatory at Obsidian Energy Ltd. since September 2014, Steve also held the position of Team Lead for Environment. Prior experience includes roles as a Remediation and Reclamation Coordinator at Penn West, an Associate Hydrogeologist, and Project Manager at Stantec, a Senior Technologist and Project Manager at Cirrus Environmental Services Inc., an Environmental Supervisor at Newpark Environmental Services, and a Civil Engineering Technologist at Agra Earth and Environmental. Academic credentials include a B.Sc. in Environmental Science with Distinction from the University of Calgary and a Diploma in Environmental Engineering Technology from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology.
