Eric Gons is a Senior Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. since July 2019, having previously held the position of Vice President. Prior to this role, Eric served at The Boston Consulting Group from January 2014 to June 2019, advancing from Consultant to Principal. Eric's earlier experience includes a significant tenure as an Operations Research Analyst with the USAF, where leadership was demonstrated as the lead analyst for the Air Combat Command ISR team, focusing on strategic planning and quantitative wargaming. Additional contributions were made in the Operational Analysis Branch with ISAF, where Eric conducted analyses supporting coalition efforts in Afghanistan. Eric began a foundational career at the RAND Corporation as a Doctoral Fellow, analyzing military modernization and strategic responses. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Policy Analysis from Pardee RAND Graduate School and a BS in Economics from the United States Air Force Academy.
