Edwin Solis-Lopez, MSW, ASW, currently serves as the Community School Manager for the Oakland Unified School District, a position held since August 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Project Supervisor for the Marin County School District from July 2018 to August 2019 and Mental Health Counselor at Berkeley Unified School District from August 2017 to June 2018. Edwin also contributed to the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) from August 2011 to August 2016 in various capacities, including Deputy Director and Associate Director. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Social Welfare with a focus on Management & Planning from the University of California, Berkeley (2016-2018) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from San Francisco State University (2009-2011).
