Isaiah Hurtado is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in various roles within the library and public health sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Librarian and Branch Manager at the Oakland Public Library since April 2022, Isaiah previously held the position of Youth Services Librarian at Marin County Free Library, demonstrating a strong focus on community engagement and youth services. Prior experience includes working as a Librarian at a correctional facility, where Isaiah provided vital resources to support rehabilitation efforts. Isaiah's background in public health includes roles as a Clinical Case Manager and HIV Services Lead Case Manager at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, as well as an Eligibility Specialist at the San Francisco Health Plan. Educational credentials include a Master of Library & Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from California State University - East Bay.
