Erin O'Brien is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in family law, currently serving as the Chief of Adoptions and Juvenile Services for the Oakland County Circuit Court Family Division since January 1998. In this role, Erin advises the court on procedural and substantive law, conducts in-camera interviews of minor children, and researches and drafts court opinions on family and juvenile matters. Previous positions include Judicial Staff Attorney and Clerk for Hon. Wendy Potts, along with experience as a Law Clerk at Scarfone & Geen, PC, and a Summer Research Clerk for Hon. Joan E. Young. Erin also has a strong background in leadership, having served as Head Coach for the Michigan Sharkettes since 2003 and as President of the Michigan State University School of Law Alumni Association (2006-2007). Erin earned a JD from Michigan State University College of Law and a BA in Psychology and Communications from the University of Michigan.
