Sheryl Black SHRM-CP is an experienced human resources professional with a robust background in HR management and organizational development. Currently serving as VP HR Business Partner and AVP Human Resources Officer at Oak Valley Community Bank since February 2021, Sheryl is responsible for overseeing HR staff, managing payroll and benefits systems, and leading the new hire process. Prior experience includes roles as a Learning Consultant at Fifth Third Bank, where Sheryl developed learning solutions, and as Human Resources Manager at Chesapeake Home Health Care, where responsibilities included performance management and employee relations. As President & CEO of Global Commerce Solutions, Sheryl managed the corporation and its HR functions, along with other operations. Early career experience includes serving as a Corporate Trainer at Capital One, focusing on employee training and development. Education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix, along with studies at Virginia State University.
