Steven Arndt, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Distinguished Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee. With extensive leadership experience in the American Nuclear Society, including roles as Immediate Past President, President, Vice President, and various board positions, Steven has made significant contributions to the field of nuclear engineering. Additionally, Steven served as a Member and Chairman of the Maryland State Board for Professional Engineers and as a Senior Technical Advisor at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for over three decades. Prior to these roles, Steven was an Assistant Professor at the U.S. Naval Academy. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Nuclear Engineering from The Ohio State University, an MS in Reliability Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a BS in Engineering Physics from The Ohio State University.
