Kate Carter has over two decades of experience in talent acquisition, primarily focused on technical and research recruitment within the computing and computational sciences sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Talent Acquisition Partner at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since March 2010, Kate specializes in developing talent acquisition strategies and recruiting professionals in fields such as computer science, high performance computing, and AI/machine learning. Previous roles include Senior Technical Recruiter and Technical Recruiter at the same institution, as well as contract recruitment support for the Neutron Sciences division. Earlier experience includes a Technical Recruiter position at ITR and a Recruiter role at Aerotek. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
