Barbara Salazar, CFA, is a seasoned investment strategist currently serving as the Senior Investment Strategist for Direct Investments at the NZ Super Fund since July 2019. In this role, Barbara manages asset class strategies, leads the Impact Investments Programme and Climate Change analysis, and engages actively with industry stakeholders. Prior to this, Barbara held various analytical positions at Westpac New Zealand Limited and Fletcher Building, focusing on strategy development and financial modeling. Barbara's experience also includes supporting tourism marketing initiatives and teaching economics at the University of Auckland. Academic qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Arts (Economics) and a Bachelor of Arts in Employment Relations and Organisation Studies & German from the University of Auckland.
