Allan Bunting is a seasoned rugby professional currently serving as the Director of Rugby and Black Ferns Manager at New Zealand Rugby since May 2022. Prior to this, Allan held the position of Chiefs Manawa Head Coach and Chiefs Skills from December 2021 to May 2022, after a successful tenure as the Black Ferns 7s Head Coach from November 2016 to December 2021. Allan's extensive experience in coaching includes roles such as Rugby Coach at NZRU, PE Teacher and Rugby Coach at St Patricks College, and Assistant Coach for Wellington Men's 7s. As a former professional rugby player, Allan competed for New Zealand Sevens, Waikato Chiefs, and Bay of Plenty Steamers. Allan's educational background includes studies at the University of Waikato and secondary education at Rotorua Boys' High School.
