Umang Bhatt is a Research Associate in the Safe and Ethical AI Team at The Alan Turing Institute since September 2021. Currently, Umang serves as a PhD Candidate in the Machine Learning Group at the University of Cambridge while being an Advisor at the Responsible AI Institute and a Student Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Previous roles include Research Fellow at Harvard University's Center for Research on Computation and Society and Fellow at Mozilla, among others. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Cambridge and dual degrees (MS and BS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
