Mason L. Wong is an experienced research fellow and freelance writer with a focus on political issues in Hong Kong and China. Currently serving at the Hong Kong Democracy Council since October 2022, Mason advises on research and provides editorial support. Previous roles include senior editor and associate editor for the Georgetown Journal of Asian Affairs, where editorial processes for scholarly publications were managed. Mason has contributed to various prestigious publications and is a member of Foreign Policy for America’s NextGen Initiative. Mason's educational background includes pursuing a PhD and MPhil in Comparative Literature at New York University, and a Master's degree in Asian Studies from Georgetown University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from Williams College.
