Ben Lahey is currently a PhD student in Economics at New York University, having started in August 2024. Prior to this, Lahey served as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from April 2022 to June 2024, focusing on topics such as labor market mismatch, wealth inequality, vacancy measurement, maternal healthcare, and college education. Previous experiences include research internships at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, as well as a data internship at the U.S. Small Business Administration. Lahey's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from Middlebury College and participation in the Washington Semester Program at American University in Global Economics and Business.
