Jing Cao is a skilled data engineer currently working at The New York Times, specializing in building robust ML pipelines. Concurrently, Jing serves as a data platform engineer for the National Microbiome Data Collaborative, facilitating the sharing of microbiome data among environmental scientists, and is involved with BetaNYC as a founding member and NYC Open Data Ambassador. Additional roles include working as an art reporter for Machines on Paper, mentoring web development at Fullstack Academy, and participating as a fellow at the Recurse Center. Jing's previous experience includes leadership positions at Bluecore, where contributions to a marketing platform focused on machine learning were made, and teaching fellow duties at The Grace Hopper Program. Jing holds an M.A. in History of Art & Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University.
