Wen-Wei Liang

Postdoctoral Research Associate at The New York Genome Center

Wen-Wei Liang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the New York Genome Center, engaged in the Neville Sanjana Lab since December 2021. Previously, Wen-Wei held a similar position at Washington University in St. Louis with the Li Ding Lab from December 2020 to December 2021. Wen-Wei co-founded and served as Co-Director of Finance for the Midwest Taiwanese Biotechnology Association from August 2017 to October 2019, while also managing the association's Facebook fanpage. Earlier roles include serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a microbiology laboratory course at Washington University in St. Louis in early 2016 and as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica in Taiwan from September 2011 to July 2014, where research focused on RNA helicase Prp5's role in spliceosome assembly. Wen-Wei holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Genomics from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology from National Yang Ming University, a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science from National Tsing Hua University, and has experience as an exchange student at Linköping University in Molecular Genetics and Physiology.
