Viswajith Venugopal has a diverse and extensive work experience. Viswajith started their career as an intern at Amadasoft India Pvt Ltd in 2013, where they worked on a project involving computational geometry problems. In 2014, they interned at Samsung Electronics, focusing on enhancing the movie recommendation system employed in Samsung Smart TV.

Venugopal then joined Stanford Network Analysis Platform as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they worked on the SNAP library, a network analysis and graph mining library. Viswajith also worked as a Course Assistant at Stanford University for CS 255: Introduction to Cryptography and CS 155: Computer and Network Security, assisting with teaching and grading.

In 2016, Venugopal worked as an Engineering Intern at Blend Labs, contributing to the modernization of the home buying experience through software development and bug fixing. Viswajith then joined StackRox as a Member of Technical Staff and later became a Senior Software Engineer, playing a major role in developing critical features of the StackRox Kubernetes Security platform.

Venugopal continued their journey at Red Hat, where they took up the role of Principal Software Engineer. Viswajith contributed to educating teams and building a community around the product, and also drove discussions on the future of certain aspects of the product. Red Hat later acquired StackRox, and Venugopal's work eventually became part of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes.

In 2022, Venugopal transitioned to On Deck as a Fellow, and later joined nxyz as a Software Engineer.

Viswajith Venugopal has obtained a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
