Alexander Sheldon

High-speed Analog Design Engineer at NXP Semiconductors

Alexander Sheldon is a High-Speed Analog Design Engineer at NXP Semiconductors since May 2022. Prior to this role, Alexander was a PhD candidate at the University of Calgary from May 2016 to July 2022, focusing on cryogenic low-noise amplifiers in TSMC 65-nm CMOS for use in astrophysics. Alexander also served as Project Co-lead and Systems Engineer for the University of Calgary High Altitude Student Payload (HASP) Group, co-founding an organization to facilitate student research opportunities in aerospace. An earlier internship involved instrument design and assembly with the ABOVE group, focusing on PCB design and testing for low-frequency receiver systems. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Calgary.
