Tanja Kulkens is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of science, particularly in chemistry and molecular biology. Since 1994, Tanja Kulkens has held various leadership positions at NWO (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek), currently serving as the Directeur domein Exacte en Natuurwetenschappen. Previous roles include Head Chemistry & Physics and various deputy directorships within the Chemical Sciences cluster. Tanja has contributed to significant initiatives such as the TKI Nieuwe Chemische Innovaties and the Commissie Sectorplan Natuur- en Scheikunde. Tanja Kulkens holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where Tanja also completed a Master's degree in Chemistry. Earlier positions include project leadership at Hogeschool West-Brabant and postdoctoral research at AMC - Academisch Medisch Centrum.
