Lambert Speelman is an accomplished professional in the field of scientific research and policy, currently serving as the Team Leader for Chemistry & Physics at NWO (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek) since June 2017. Having transitioned from a research career, Lambert has held various significant roles, including Senior Programme Officer and Interim Team Leader within NWO, where responsibilities have included coordinating funding schemes and participating in policy development related to talent and data management. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Vereniging van Universiteiten (VSNU) and conducting postdoctoral research in Biomedical Engineering at Erasmus MC, focusing on non-invasive MRI protocols and biomechanical modeling. Lambert holds a Master's degree in Medical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, complemented by early research experience at the University of Pittsburgh.
