Haydar Karaoglu is a Civil/Structural Analysis Engineer at NuScale Power since July 2019, with a robust background in seismology and civil engineering. Prior to this role, Haydar served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Utrecht University from August 2017 to July 2019 and engaged in research at the University of California, Berkeley in 2018. Haydar's earlier experience includes developing a 3D heterogeneous upper-mantle attenuation model at the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris from August 2014 to August 2017 and working as an Engineer Associate II at RIZZO Associates in mid-2014. Haydar gained foundational experience at Carnegie Mellon University, serving as a Research Computing Linux Support Person from 2010 to 2014. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering and Seismology from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
