David Benson, PE, is a Civil Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the engineering field. Currently employed at NuScale Power since December 2020, David specializes in civil structural engineering. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Structural Engineer at Steel Nation from September 2019 to November 2020 and as a Structural Engineer at Westinghouse from August 2013 to September 2019. David's expertise encompasses steel design per AISC specifications, connection design, embedded plate design, construction support through RFI responses, and finite element analysis using advanced software tools like ANSYS and GT-Strudl. David holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.
