Jeremy Cox has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jeremy started their career as a Senior Actuarial Assistant at Standard Insurance Company, where they focused on process improvement and financial reporting. Jeremy then moved on to Zions Bancorporation, where they served as a Corporate Risk Officer. After that, they joined American Express as a Manager, responsible for Institutional Risk and Analytics.
Jeremy's passion for data and analysis led him to roles at Clearlink as a Business Analyst and Forecasting Consultant. In these positions, they developed forecasting models and conducted A/B tests to optimize business performance. Jeremy also gained experience in academia as an Adjunct Professor at Salt Lake Community College, teaching courses in an adjunct capacity.
Jeremy further expanded their academic background by pursuing a PhD in Business Entrepreneurship & Strategy at the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business. During their time as a PhD student and later as a PhD candidate, they conducted research in the areas of foresight, strategic decision-making, and entrepreneurship. Prior to their current role as Head of Data at Nursaâ„¢, Jeremy served as a CFO/COO and Board Member at La Barba Coffee, where they played a pivotal role in financial management and extending the company's impact.

Jeremy Cox attended Landmark High School from 1992 to 1995, where they did not receive a degree and did not specify a field of study. Following high school, they enrolled at the United States Naval Academy from 1995 to 1999, majoring in Computer Science, though they did not obtain a degree. In 2002, they attended the University of Oregon for one year, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. From 2011 to 2013, Jeremy pursued an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management at the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business. Finally, from 2014 to 2020, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from the same institution.
